The cousin of the Performer, this classic rounded pintail maintains the traditional Weber characteristics that make it highly maneuverable. A traditional “double-ender” of the 1960’s era, this design is perfect for lined up point surf. Long carving bottom turns and blazing cutbacks are possible with stability and quickness.

Originally released in 1968, this was the most progressive longboard of the 60’s era. It is a soft “step deck,” which differed from the more radical step decks being produced at the time. The flex in this deck enhances the noseriding capabilities by subtly moving the center of gravity aft without creating drag or detracting from the turning potential. It exemplifies the first use of tail lift and a reverse rail line in surfboard design.

THE PERFORMER The Performer is the most popular longboard of all time. We’ve used Dewey’s wide template to make an exact replica of the 1967 design. Dewey designed this board to meet the needs of every surfer in all surf conditions. It’s easy to paddle and catch waves on and it turns on a dime. It’s the world’s best noserider and with the refined rail line and bottom rocker, it will enhance your riding experience.

THE LEGEND (Special Edition) We introduced “Special Edition” surfboard in January 1999 to celebrate Dewey’s extraordinary contribution to modern surfboard design. Dewey, working with Harold Walker, discovered that by using a 2” balsa as the center stringer in a foam blank, you could alter the weight distribution of the foam just enough to cause the foam surfboard to react in a turn more like a balsa board. Plain and simple; it’s more stable, trims tighter, and turns better. The Legend celebrates Dewey’s initial Performer outline, which was conceived in 1965.

We have re-created Dewey’s original Feather of the late 1960’s using his original template. This pintail was designed as a progressive speed shape which combined speed and quickness with the trim and glide of a traditional noserider. If you prefer single fins, the Feather is the ideal board for beach breaks. Giving it a bit of hip and loosening it up, the wide point is behind the center of the board. A great alternative for surfer’s who wish to ride a single fin but need something with a bit more speed.
