Laird makes everything he does at the highest level look easy or at least do-able. So when we watch the ultimate waterman get towed in to a monster, or paddle his way into great barrel on his SUP it looks cool and makes you want to surf like that. No doubt this guy has had as much influence on this sport as anyone. So if we "Blame Laird" for the SUP there is a lot of other things to "Blame Laird" for as well. For me its kudos to him for always taking the sport to the next level in ways most of us would never think of.
