The Wingnut II embodies the best qualities of the original Wingnut Model and the Mark Martinson Model. The slightly pulled tail, in conjunction with softer rails, result in ultra-smooth turns and cutbacks to go along with improved control, stability, and nose riding. Single Fin with Tail Block Standard.

although the noseriding definitely isn’t as good as some other boards with a more performance feel. This board turns well, trims, and is fast. Its an overall easy board to ride.
I’ve been riding the surftech 10’6 Wingnut II for about a year. It is an incredible design, allowing a large platform to respond with ease. I have taken it out in 2 foot slop and in smooth 8 foot hurricane swells. The board performs well in all conditions, but it is especially nice in the bigger waves. I would recommend this board to anyone who wants a big board with the stability and maneuverability of a high performance longboard.
I’ve been riding the Wingnut II Tuflite 9.0 model. It’s a great board for some bigger surf. The board is turning great, but I did not like the way it was noseriding. I think the dimensions and rail are not good for noseriding. 16,5 nose-22mid-14tail…..
I have the Surftech version of this board, and overall I like it. It’s not a board that you can just set a line and walk to the nose, you kind of have to work at it. Off the tail it turns well and is responsive. All the knocks I have on the board are related to it being epoxy, not the shape.
Agree with much of the above. I’ve only just started riding the 9 foot tuff lite version, but already I’m enjoying it. The board does seem to prefer bigger swells, and although other guys with wider boards were getting into the waves a bit quicker and easier than me, once I was in I was away! The board handles the bigger surf better and is very responsive, turning easily. The narrower nose is not so good for nose riding (although I’m not too worried about that), but it does mean that the board cuts through the white water a lot easier when you are trying to get back out, and also helps to prevent pearling if you are a bit late with your take off.
I’ve always been a bit wary about taking longboards out in bigger surf, but with the Wingnut 2 I have no fear (so far). I think this board is really gonna grow on me!
